Rafting on the Dunajec river – it is an extraordinary experience which you will never forget. The adventure starts in Kąty where is the raft harbour and where you can buy tickets (the adult ticket price is 43 PLN to Krościenko and 35 PLN to Szczawnica, ticket for children to the age of 10 costs 22.50 PLN to Szczawnica and 18.50 PLN to Krościenko – state for 2004, in the tickets price parking place in Kąty included). To Kąty you can go by a local bus from any bigger village in the area. You can also go there by your own car and take the bus from Szczawnica or Krościenko where the raft ends. Before the raft trip starts you can admire the magnificent massif of Trzy Korony (the Three Crowns) the highest peak of the Pieniny range. When we flow at the foot of the peak, where the actual raft begins, the beauty of the landscape reaches its best.
    The rafts can take up to 10 people and 2 rafts men who  are the pilots. While going along the Dunajec river we can admire magnificent rocks forming a deep canyon, one of the most beautiful in Europe. The raft lasts 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the water level. The rafts men with their jokes and local tales create the specific atmosphere of the whole trip.
