Maniowy - the biggest village in the Czorsztyn Commune with more than 2000 inhabitants. It was completely relocated from the bottom of the Czorsztyn Lake to the south slopes of the Gorce Mountains. Since 1993 the village is the seat of the Commune Office. After creating the Czorsztyn Lake so - called Old Maniowy was placed entirely under the water. The history of the village goes back to 1326. Today New Maniowy is nothing like the old village. Modern architecture with the huge block of the St. Nikolaus church rises above the water surface. The nearness of woods and the lake makes Maniowy a perfect recreation place for berries and mushrooms pickers and for active rest lovers. Since the Czorsztyn Ski Centre was built the Czorsztyn Commune became a very attractive place for winter sports. From Maniowy you can also get to Niedzica and Czorsztyn Castles.
